Holy Smokes, 50%? Yup!
Why? Because we know you will absolutely love Gibson's Lodgings and Four Rivers Photo and tell all your friends.
Q: Is parking really free?

A: We accommodate photographers of all skill levels and with just about any camera. Our goal is to help you become a better photographer with the equipment you have now no matter what your skill level. Take a few minutes to read through our website. We explain how our classes are run, what to bring, dressing for the weather, etc. This should help you feel right at home. Start here.
Q: Can I bring my child on this weekend?
A: Sure, but if they will attend the workshop, you are the best judge of the workshop's suitability for your child. We welcome unaccompanied teenage participants and preteens when accompanied by a parent. We believe that younger children will be more comfortable and learn more in a workshop designed specifically for their age and interests. Call us at Four Rivers Photo. We are parents, too. Together we will craft the best workshop for you and your child. (410) 924-6161. Relatives and friends not registered for the workshop should plan other activities while you attend the workshop.
Q: I'm sharing a room with two friends. Can they come to the photography workshop?
A: Yes! Here's how the photography pricing works. The Winter Special $199 rate includes two nights lodgings for two. It also includes registration for two in our photography workshop. Additional Gibson's Lodgings guests can purchase workshop registrations for $49 each. Those not staying at Gibson's Lodging can join the workshop at our regular price, $59. Speak with the Gibson's Lodgings staff regarding extra guests per room.
Q: I've been to other photography workshops. How is yours different?
A: Our workshops are small, engaging, and focused on you. Laurie, grew up and lives in Anne Arundel County just up the Severn from Annapolis. She is a career trainer and avid photographer. She has years and years of practice translating technical material into easily digested curricula. At Four Rivers Photo, we stress the basics. We know that when you've mastered them, photography becomes a tool for releasing your inner artist. We believe in a hands on approach to training and learning. Our exercises are printed and given to you during the workshop. We practice them during the workshop and we show you how to use them at home for more practice.
Q: Is there something I can do to prepare for this workshop?
A: Yes! Review this website and read your camera manual. You will gain more from the workshop if you know how to set ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed when the workshop starts. You don't have to know what they do. We'll teach you that, but you should know which buttons to use to set them. Bring your manual to class. See our workshop checklist for specifics on preparing for class. Relax, this will be fun!
Q: What if my camera doesn't have ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed settings?
A: That's okay. Look at your camera. Can you find knobs or menu settings that allow you to select portrait, landscape, and night shots, etc? Study those settings in your manual. Still can't find them? No worries! You and your camera will take excellent photographs. Be sure to complete your Pre-workshop Questionnaire. We'll brush up on the details of your camera and help you get the most from YOUR equipment.
